Saturday. Hello, lover.
I was inspired by this blogger’s outfit and couldn’t wait to do my own interpretation today. I feel like I’m ready for a picnic, wine tasting, a movie, or whatever Saturday has to offer. Funny how an outfit motivates you to do things. And on that note….I’m outta here!

Another big trend for Spring is stripes, and I’m a massive fan. Today I had a client meeting, so I polished up a simple dresss with a blazer and peep toe heels to look my business best. I’m not a big fan of wearing super high heels anymore as you read here, so I opted to give my feet a little break and wear low heels. They were very grateful!
There was a time I wore them every day to work because I sit at my desk most of the day and it was never an issue. But after a bad ankle injury last year, I was never the same, and started taking better care of my feet. Now I can’t imagine going back to that ever again.
How do you feel about wearing heels everyday? A high heel is neither a high nor a heel. Discuss.

In keeping with my theme of Spring trends, let me present to you coral and cobalt. I wore a slight variation of this for the office (bootcut jeans, nude platforms, yellow necklace). But tonight was date night. I wanted a cute little clutch bag and some fun shoes. We had the best dinner. It was in the little Siamese restaurant with booths that had lace curtains for “privacy” – great food, candlelight – perfect.

Monday’s work outfit: I wanted to incorporate something Springy. As you read here, you won’t find all the colors of the rainbow in my closet. So the only Spring trend I can really pull off that is true to me is white on white. This cropped, fitted blazer from LOFT and tiered tank also from LOFT did the trick. I balanced out the cropped blazer with dark-wash bootcut jeans and neutral platforms. I wanted to keep the necklace neutral so that the focal point of the outfit remained on the crisp white blazer and top. This probably sounds all very well planned out, but in reality, it takes me longer to write this than it does for me to think about the outfit. My instincts steer me very quickly and I think it’s better not to overplan…I go with my gut and am usually pleased with the result. Except on those days where I hate everything thing that I own.
